The Teacher Education students have visited two Kent schools as part of their five month programme at Chaucer College.
On 8th and 9th June they went to Selling Church of England Primary School and this week they have spent two days at Norton Knatchbull Grammar School for Boys in Ashford . In both schools they observed lessons, took part in sports activities and offered workshops in Japanese culture, including origami, calligraphy and language. At the grammar school, a drum performance was also given by two of the students. This was very well received by the pupils. After lunch on 29th June our students met a group of sixth form pupils, where the discussion centred around school life in Japan and the UK and young people’s interests.
